An opportunity has arisen to join the Malts Finance & Stock Planning team on a fixed term contract for 12-months in the role of Decision Support Analyst – Allocations & Finance.  This role will report to the Head of Finance - Malt Whiskies.

The principle purpose of this role is to support the daily allocations management in line with strategic objectives and to provide financial reporting, analysis and decision support for the Malt Whiskies business unit.  This role represents an ideal opportunity to gain experience within an exciting area of the business.

Some of the key responsibilities of the role include:

  • Evaluate allocation change requests per decision matrix and agree course of action with key stakeholders.
  • Maintain SharePoint audit log and accurately reflect allocation changes in SAP.
  • Assess whether residual allocation can be made available to markets.
  • Ensure that allocations are aligned to shipments in the budget and forecast process.
  • Perform detailed budget and forecast analysis on large sets of data.
  • Edrington Studio (in-house digital agency): finance business partner supporting on high volume of recharges to brands & markets, P&L tracking to ensure full year break-even.
  • Global Marketing A&P: report & monitor spend working with the Brand teams. Co-ordinate the budget and forecast process.
  • Production of monthly commercial performance reporting and analytics.
  • Generation of reports and P&L analysis for budget and forecasts.

To take on the challenge of this role, we are looking for candidates who are advanced users of MS Office Excel and have a sound knowledge of SAP.  A part-qualified accountant (e.g. ICAS, CIMA or ACCA) would be desirable but not essential.  You will be highly organised and flexible in approach to changing business priorities.  You will have strong communication skills and are customer focused.
