This role will be responsible for ensuring that all visitors to the Macallan Visitor Experience receive exceptional customer service in all food & beverage areas of the visitor experience. As Food & Beverage Manager, you will be responsible for building an outstanding food and beverage team to deliver an outstanding level of customer service and experience.
Reporting to the General Manager – The Macallan, key responsibilities of this role include:
To lead and develop a ‘best in class’ food and beverage team, who will provide visitors with the best Scottish welcome and deliver a consistently high quality visitor experience in line with Visit Scotland criteria across all food and beverage touch points at The Macallan Visitor Centre
Through engagement and personal drive, be accountable for ensuring that every guest of the Macallan experience leaves the Macallan having had an outstanding level of customer service
To ensure that the visitor experience in the F&B areas is presented as a 5 star, quality attraction, at all times
Maintaining a high standard of cleanliness and organisation in both customer and non-customer facing areas
To ensure that the team follow all systems and procedures laid down by each department and are followed with detailed accuracy
As departmental head, ensure that the team are fully aware of the daily business needs through the delivery of structured daily operational briefs
Working with the General Manager to support the creation and delivery of the annual budget for the food and beverage experience and ensure that the budget and agreed staffing levels are adhered too on a monthly basis
Complete all training appropriate to ensuring effective job performance is up to date with all relevant visitor experience and brand information and education materials
Ensuring that the visitor experience offering is constantly exceptional and in line with brand etiquette
To succeed in this role you will have previous experience in a similar role and have an excellent working knowledge of all UK legislative food safety and best practice. You will be experienced in leading a team to ensure overall health and safety in a visitor experience environment while also ensuring that the F&B areas operate at a 5star level of service.
