Our graduate programme
Our two-year programme will expose you to all aspects of Edrington’s international business. You will spend short periods in different functions, ranging from The Macallan Business Development & Support, to Regional Power Brands, before specialising in one area for your second year. At the same time, you will develop your skills through a formal, modular programme. Leadership, management, IT; you’ll build all the skills you need for an exciting, successful future.
The programme follows a ‘70-20-10’ model, giving a well-rounded learning experience. You’ll spend 70% of your time learning on the job, 20% on social learning (though peer coaching and networking) and 10% on formal learning (e.g. technical training and workshops).
From day one you’ll be managing real projects while constantly honing your skills. You’ll also get direct access to the Board and the executive team from the very start and will be assigned a mentor.
By the end of the programme, you should know what area interests you most. Then it’s time to build your career with our ongoing training and development.
With a 2:1 degree or above, you’ll be ambitious, bright and committed, and able to carry yourself confidently in a variety of situations. You’ll also be keen to work with a range of people across the business, suggesting improvements wherever possible. That takes an entrepreneurial attitude and a gift for working with others.

We’ll reward you with a generous benefits package, including a contributory pension of up to 7% (which we match), life assurance, a ShareReward scheme - enabling you to share in our profits by up to 10% of your salary (after qualifying period), plus you can buy discounted shares via our ShareSave scheme. You’ll also receive £240 to spend on discounted Edrington products and 37 days’ annual leave (including bank holidays).
Based in Scotland, Edrington’s principal shareholder is The Robertson Trust. The company has interests in the Dominican Republic, the Americas, and in countries throughout Europe, the Middle East, Asia Pacific and Africa. Our people work across many specialist areas within distilling, blending and bottling, as well as marketing, brand management, sales, finance and other professional functions.
