As Head Chef in our new Visitor Experience you will be required to produce meals and services to meet the 5star standards of this attraction. You will work to deadlines and be highly focused on ensuring that customer satisfaction is met, and exceeded.

 

Key responsibilities of this role include:

 

  • Working within the catering operating budget using company nominated suppliers

  • Cooking with fresh, quality ingredients
  • Menu planning and development of the catering offer
  • Managing and coordinating a kitchen team
  • Monitoring and maintaining consistent food standards and quality at all stages
  • Ensuring that the food experience is presented as a 5 star, quality attraction at all times, maintaining a high standard of cleanliness and organisation in both customer and non-customer facing areas
  • Ensuring awareness of the daily business needs by attending the daily brief (if appropriate), referring to the daily sheets, notice boards, diaries and rosters
  • Taking accountability for the day to day running of the kitchen service
  • Purchasing food, and food related products
  • Achieving food budget cost controls while ensuring minimum waste
  • Implementing and managing a stock-rotation and stock-take procedures

 

 

To be successful in this role you will have a passion and flair for cooking with fresh, quality ingredients. You will have a positive approach to menu planning and be keen to develop the catering offer within this 5star experience. You must have HACCP experience as well as experience of managing a kitchen team.

 

Applicants should hold an intermediate food hygiene certificate.
