An opportunity has arisen to join the Regional Power Brands team to provide maternity cover for the Marketing Manager (Cutty Sark). Cutty Sark is one of the three Regional Power Brands with sales of over 650k cases and significant brand contribution.  Concentrated in five key markets – Spain, Portugal, Greece, the US and Japan; the brand has a renewed vision to grow through the recruitment of the next generation of scotch whisky drinkers.   

 

Reporting to the Marketing Director – Regional Power Brands, key responsibilities for this role include:

 

  • Global P&L responsibility for Cutty Sark

  • Lead cross functional and cross market team to drive strategy and positioning for the brand

  • Responsible for all creative materials and global packaging

  • Work closely with Master Distiller to manage production vs demand

  • Line management for 2 people

  • Commercial conversations with lead markets to manage global P&L

  • Agency management to deliver advertising, digital, packaging and PR content

  • Develop new communication executions and oversee delivery of social content

  • Working closely and very collaborative with brands packaging, whisky operations, wood operations, brand development and support functions, finance and legal

  • Take leadership role in the RPB marketing team – giving input to cross brand activities and projects

  • Work very closely with the MIT team to have a best in class consumer understand at all times

  • Global brand budget management and co-ordination with other RPB brands

  • Deep understanding of the competitive set and how they engage with consumers, providing facts, analysis and effectiveness measurement.

  • Provide the right guidelines and tools to ensure global consistency and facilitate in market execution and measurement

 

 

To succeed in this role you will have a good knowledge of global spirits and consumer behaviours. You will be commercially focused with a sound understanding for a brand P&L and its role in the business. You will have an ability to influence senior stakeholders across an international team and significant marketing experience in a similar brand-led organisation.
