An excellent opportunity has arisen for a Team Leader to join the Premium Packaging and Finishing team at our Glasgow manufacturing site (G15 6RW).

It is the responsibility of the PP&F Team Leader to successfully manage day-to-day operations and associated labour within the department. Their main objective is to ensure the efficient finishing of Prestige product, to the quality and quantity required by our customers. The Team Leader will drive department performance through implementing and developing performance control system KPI’s, and effectively leading a team consisting of Production Controllers, Process Operators and General Workers. The role will involve deputising for the department manager as required and contributing to the overall strategy of Premium Packaging and Finishing operations.

Reporting to the Premium Packaging Manager, key responsibilities of the role include:

  • Responsibility for key areas in production and a team of process operators and general workers
  • Understand customer requirements and work towards meeting them, on time, in full
  • Ensure quality standards and line targets are achieved
  • Ensure labour spend is in line with budget and utilisation
  • Provide management reports and KPIs on area performance
  • Lead strategic projects at department level and drive a continuous improvement culture within the team
  • Collaborate cross functionally with relevant departments in Edrington’s Global Supply Chain and apply structured problem-solving techniques when required
  • Managing absence, carrying out disciplinary hearings, investigations, grievances and flexible working requests.

The successful candidate should have an extensive and detailed understanding of bottling production and warehousing, as well as experience of lean manufacturing tools and techniques.

You will be an experienced people leader with a proven track record of leading and managing teams, with the ability to influence at all levels. The Team Leader will have an adaptable management style, combined with the ability to communicate successfully at all levels within the business.

A high level of PC literacy is essential and experience using SAP and Warehouse Management systems is highly desirable.

To be considered this role you will have previous experience of working in a warehouse/manufacturing environment, supervising and leading a team. You will have experience of providing management reports and KPIs on area performance.
