Reward Operations Manager - Glasgow - City Centre

We have an exciting opportunity for a Reward Operations Manager to join the human resources function. This role will be responsible for the management and development of reward operations within the UK, supporting with international projects as required. The position has one direct report and one matrix report.


Reporting to Group Head of Reward, key responsibilities for this role include:


  • Responsible for the management and accurate & timely processing, payment and submission of share schemes and share transactions; payroll and associated processes; defined contribution (DC) pension scheme transactions; employment taxes-related filings;

  • Managing the reward analysts (one direct report, one matrix) to support their development and ensure high levels of service are provided including focus on pro-active customer service to internal and external stakeholders;

  • Act as primary contact for Group Reward relationship with Group and BU Finance departments;

  • Leading Reward projects in support of the delivery of our strategic Reward fundamentals (transparency, consistency & fairness);

  • Being pro-active in identifying changes to areas of responsibility, anticipating and managing implications and impact of any changes;

  • Continually reviewing and improving systems, processes and procedures to ensure best practice and efficient processes are in place;

  • Identify, implement and manage the move from reliance on paper processes to online solutions;

  • Liaising with third party providers as necessary, acting as lead Edrington relationship manager with payroll provider, share scheme providers and DC pension scheme providers;

  • Checking and approving payroll;

  • Managing internal and external payroll audit processes;

  • Manage employee change legislation and updates in legislation;

  • Providing consultative technical expertise, advice and guidance regarding compensation and benefits to managers, employees & the wider HR function;

  • Any other duties appropriate to the role

To succeed in this role you must be able to demonstrate expertise in areas of shares, employment taxes and payroll. You will have the ability to be flexible, meeting tight deadlines and regularly work under pressure. You will have excellent attention to detail with strong influencing, communication, analytical and project management skills
