An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Scheduling Leader to join the Whisky Supply team based at our manufacturing site at Great Western Road, Glasgow.
We've got a great opportunity for someone who is great with numbers, able to engage and collaborate with people across a team, and likes suggesting new ways of working at our Great Western Road site. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with lots of great ideas and enthusiasm to play a key role in ensuring that the liquid we produce gets to our customers, working with brands including The Famous Grouse, Highland Park and The Macallan. You will be able to see your ideas through to delivery and enjoy working within a team environment, coordinating all Whisky Supply labour and productions scheduling to ensure resources are aligned with delivering service excellence.
Reporting to the Whisky Supply Manager, this role will be responsible for delivery of an achievable plan, putting in place all resources to deliver it and tracking adherence. It will also involve immediately taking corrective action to resolve when service is at risk.
Key Responsibilities include:-
Ensure a workable labour plan is in place and is communicated to all Production Controllers
Improve labour planning and scheduling management and visibility, through development and usage of appropriate system.
Develop a departmental suite of measures for service, adherence to schedule and performance, identifying areas for improvement.
Take responsibility for prioritisation when requirements exceed resource capability.
Identify continuous improvement opportunities with a focus on service and quality
Work closely with key stakeholders to minimise plan changes.
Our ideal candidate will have labour planning and scheduling experience within a manufacturing environment, but this is not essential if you have an eye for detail and a willingness to succeed. You will have a proven track record of showing assertiveness, with strong influencing skills. You will have experience of showing strong communication skills and experience of working with a cross-section of people from different areas would be an advantage.
