Following a recent internal move, an excellent opportunity has arisen to join the Europe Middle East & Africa Travel Retail Team as a Trade Marketing Manager.  Reporting to the Senior Marketing Manager, the role will develop and implement marketing programmes and activities, which reflect the brand strategies, to support and grow the business.

The key activities and responsibilities in the role include:

  • Together with the Marketing Manager and the Key Account Manager, devise, implement and evaluate annual trade marketing programmes and activities consistent with brand strategies.

  • Develop and manage the annual A&P budget for key accounts, including accurate interim forecasts and ensure all expenditures are within budget.

  • Lead the presentation and negotiation of marketing programmes with customers, coordinating with the Edrington GTR regional teams as required, to ensure effective global customer management.

  • Develop Regional Brand Growth Plans ensuring alignment with other Global Travel Retail regional marketing teams and Global Brand teams.

  • Ensure best-in-class execution of all brand building activities, including luxury retail, permanent visibility, retail activation and digital marketing.

  • Manage new product launches to maximise consumer impact and growth potential.

  • Together with the Key Account Manager, contribute to preparation of customer annual sales budgets and long term business growth strategy.

  • Liaise with key domestic markets to drive synergies from Travel Retail/Domestic brand investments, including targeting of core target nationalities.

  • Effectively use consumer insight and market intelligence to develop growth strategies, influence customers and increase effectiveness of marketing investments.

  • Manage a team of dedicated sales consultants (agency): setting sales targets, KPIs and incentives; developing and coordinating brand training and education programs; evaluating performance.

 

To be successful in this role, you’ll ideally have a marketing or business related degree and relevant experience within a sales/marketing environment.  You’ll be a proactive and dynamic team player, with a can-do approach.  Results orientated with strong analytical skills, you’ll have the ability to operate on your own initiative and make quick, informed decisions. With a strong desire to drive consistency and with unwavering high standards, previous experience of luxury retail would be beneficial although not essential. You’ll have first class communication skills and be able to network and influence at all levels. Ability to travel frequently is a requirement of the role.
